Overview

Job Summary:

  • The Medical Document Courier is responsible for transporting medical documents from Hospitals, Clinics, and Surgery Centers to our Santa Ana, California, office location. Depending on the location, the courier may also be responsible for picking up and dropping off at the post office. The courier is responsible for understanding the specific transportation requirements. This may be handling instructions, delivery time frames, or overall security of the time. As a medical document courier, you are responsible for mapping out the best possible route to your destination, logging mileage, and ensuring that all actions follow HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Tasks:

  • Receiving medical documents and then understanding the instructions from the facility
  • Ensuring that all medical documents are securely stored
  • Mapping out a route to the destination considering the traffic and mileage
  • Delivering the medical documents from the facilities to our Santa Ana, California office location
  • Accurately counting and taking inventory of the medical documents
  • Driving to post office, banks, FedEx/UPS for drop off & pick up
  • Performing all duties based on the regulations of HIPAA

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Five (5+) years of courier experience
  • Familiarity with HIPAA
  • Valid California driver’s license and clean record of driving
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Innovative thinker
  • Medical field experience
