Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director, Revenue Cycle Data & Analytics Product Owner to lead the vision, development, and execution of our data and analytics initiatives. This individual will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data solutions align with organizational goals, deliver value, and drive decision-making.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of provider revenue cycle management, data management, analytics, and product ownership principles, coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Essential Functions and Tasks

Product Ownership

  • Define and own the product roadmap for data and analytics platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog based on business value, feasibility, and impact.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business leaders, to ensure successful delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all analytics-related products and initiatives.
  • Communicate product updates, milestones, and performance metrics to stakeholders effectively.

Data Strategy & Insights

  • Champion the use of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to improve business processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency.
  • Advocate for best practices in data governance, quality, and privacy compliance.

Project Management

  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Track progress and performance of deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Mitigate risks and resolve roadblocks during the product development lifecycle.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s strongly preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in product ownership, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing data products or platforms using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in US healthcare with a strong foundational understanding of end-to-end provider revenue cycle management including coding, charge entry, claims submission, denials management, and AR follow up.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Skills

  • Ability to independently explore data through analytical tools including SQL, Excel, Python, etc.  
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database technologies (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PII), and security best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Fabric) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Agile development tools such as Azure Dev Ops and Confluence.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make data-informed decisions.
  • In depth understanding of the US healthcare industry and provider revenue cycle billing process. including

  • Delivery of product features and enhancements on time and within scope.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with business goals.
  • Adoption and usage rates of data and analytics solutions.
  • Improvement in data quality and insights generated.
