Job Summary

  • This position requires knowledge and experience in IDX, for modules BAR, TES, ETM and the Payer Contract Module. Candidate must work well with others and have communication skills to interact with other departments to determine requirements for system setup and changes. Candidate should have overall experience of the Athena IDX applications DBMS, Cache SQL, Dictionaries, BAR, TES, 837 claims, 835 remit setup and posting, and HL7 Interfaces.
  • Under direct supervision, manage and design techniques to complex computer systems with multiple users, to produce innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems. Gathers information from users, defines work problems, and plans projects to enable analysts and programmers to develop required results.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Lead and guide the configuration and maintenance of the ETM application.   
  • Guides users in formulating requirements; advises on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised computer systems/applications technology.
  • Analyzes user project proposals, identifies omissions and errors in requirements, and recommends optimal solutions and develops system design for approved projects.
  • Coordinate testing scenarios for system changes and enhancements and work with teams to move changes to production.
  • Prepares and gives presentations to user management for issues and possible solutions, so decisions can be made.
  • May serve as lead analyst in a design subgroup, directing and integrating the work of analysts, each responsible for several areas or systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure proper change management for system changes as well at attend Governance meetings.

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

  • Ability to interpret and evaluate client informational needs and to determine appropriate alternative solutions.
  • Ability to develop and/or modify and adapt systems, application configurations, and programs to meet individually specified needs.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information systems proposals, and to evaluate and develop alternative implementation plans.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret end user information requirements, and to develop appropriate systems and/or applications solutions.
  • Knowledge of information flow and management environments within area of operational specialty.
  • Ability to plan, design, coordinate installation, test, and modify complex systems and subsystems.
  • Ability to assess and maintain quality of programming structure, design, and coding.

  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner.
  • Basic touch 10 key skills.
  • Basic Math skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.
