Job Summary

  • The Bank Recon Escalation Specialist is responsible for resolving the day-to-day escalations or clarification requests, Answer questions as well as assist with audits, training, and with higher level account issues.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Manage and resolve escalations from internal teams including the enterprise service centers as well as from Client Success to ensure timely and accurate completion of posting and reconciliation
  • Investigates and resolves matters that Client Success escalates from clients to resolve
  • Research and complete special projects for bank reconciliation as requested
  • Assist with locating remits by researching on payor portals
  • Assist with departmental training as requested
  • Assist with audits as requested
  • Provide process improvement feedback to leadership
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least two (2) years of experience in bank reconciliation, experience in a health care setting preferred
  • At least one (1) year of experience in an escalation/lead role in bank reconciliation, preferred
  • At least two (2) years of experience reading insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Resolution driven in timely manner
  • Knowledge of payor portals
  • Knowledge of insurance payer types
  • Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner.
  • Basic touch 10 key skills.
  • Basic Math skills.   
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.

Compensation

  • Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. 
  • This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
