Job Summary

  • The Manager, Billing & Intake to the Director of Billing and Intake.  The Billing and Intake Manager is responsible for ensuring Ventra Health front end billing standards are met on each client, must be able to communicate standards to and drive performance through Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).   A Billing and Intake Manager must comply with applicable laws regarding billing standards and be able to motivate a team to strive to provide superior service to anesthesia providers throughout the country.

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Creating and updating front end instructions including but not limited to charge tips and protocols, demographic tips and protocols, mapping of billing documents, demographic plan, and carrier list, PQRS instructions, signature logs
  • Resolving overlaps and any issues in problem stations
  • Review open incidents batches to make sure there are not any charges.  If charges exist, resolve the issue with the appropriate BPO
  • Work pending BPO visit batches
  • Provide feedback to BPOs
  • Route MedSuite changes to the appropriate team
  • Answer any questions regarding Front End processes to the Ventra Health team
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Medical billing experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic familiarity with medical billing and terminology
  • Maintain proficiency in medical billing software
  • Proven success in supervising employees
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment
  • Ability to deliver high quality service excellence with high attention to detail
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Smartsheet, Excel, and database software skills
