The Intake Supervisor is primarily responsible for providing support to the Intake manager by directly overseeing coordinators and insurance research reps
Trains intake team members in workflow, responds to team member inquiries, manages workflow priorities as outlined by the Intake manager
Manages timecards of intake team
Reports anomalies in data or systems to Intake manager as the first line of defense for both identifying potential problems and monitoring for data integrity
Monitors employee performance for both volume and quality
Ensures Intake queues of exceptions are being worked within the required SLA
Assists Intake staff members with questions about exceptions and the applications used to process exceptions
Communicates frequently and verbosely with Intake manager about issues related to the Intake department
Collaborates with other department leads and supervisors daily to ensure timely filing of claims
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
At least one (1) year experience with different Emergency Medical Records (EMRs)
At least one (1) year of experience with medical records preferred
Working knowledge of the front-end process for each facility
Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information
Knowledge of different files: log, demographics, medical records
Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies
Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment
Ability to deliver high quality service excellence with high attention to detail
Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills
Strong knowledge of Outlook, Smartsheet, Excel, and database software skills
